HP Veer will be available from O2 Germany in June, reserve yours now
The HP Veer is certainly a slick looking little smartphone (even though it may be a bit too tiny for the average human being). We’ve known for a while that it was headed to O2 in Germany, with the carrier previously announcing that it would become available in May.
Apparently something came up, since O2 Germany has now pushed the release time frame for the Veer to June. There’s still no more detailed info than that, so it’s unclear if it’s going to be out at the beginning of the month, at the end of it, or somewhere in between.
However, you can register your interest for the device at O2′s special website here, and the operator will reserve a Veer for you, while also (obviously) emailing you the instant it becomes available and you can buy it. You can choose how many days the handset will be kept for you, so presumably even if you don’t have time to pick it up on day one, you’ll still be able to get it later.
So, if you’re the type of individual who despises the recent trend of huge-touchscreened devices without actual physical keyboards, the HP Veer’s got you covered twice – first, it’s tiny, and second, it comes with an actual physical QWERTY keyboard (although its usability remains to be proven, thanks to the size). And if you’re in Germany, you only have about a month and a half of waiting to do until you can get one yourself.
