After having become available in the US, as well as in the UK recently, the Dell Streak 7 is (slowly) on its way to Canada. In fact, you can order one right now from Dell Canada, and shipping will start on April 29. The price is $399.99 right now, but it may change – so if you want a Streak 7, you should probably add it to that cart as soon as possible. What you have to keep in mind here is that, just like the Streak 7 that has gone on sale in the UK, this is a Wi-Fi-only version of Dell’s tablet. That means you can’t stick a SIM card in it and subsequently use mobile data to connect to the Internet.
Other than that variation, this is the same Streak 7 that was unveiled back in January. It’s got a 7-inch 800×480 capacitive touchscreen with Gorilla Glass, a 1 GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, a 5 MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera, 16 GB of internal storage further expandable via an SD card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, and a 2780 mAh battery. The Dell Streak 7 runs Android 2. Froyo (and not the tablet-optimized Android 3.0 Honeycomb), with Dell’s Stage UI overlay on top, which aims to make Froyo a bit more bearable on a tablet.
