Pre-Order your HTC Flyer on Monday from BestBuy
HTC’s first tablet, the HTC Flyer, was first introduced at MWC 2011 in February. We have had several different reports for a release date for Europe, and now it’s our turn to get our hands on the Flyer.
BestBuy has gotten themselves an exclusive pre-sale of the WiFi only HTC Flyer. The pre-sale will begin on April 25th or this coming monday on the BestBuy website. The tablet will retail for $499. The tablet will not come with Android 3.0 pre-loaded onto the device. Instead it will come pre-loaded with Android 2.3 along with the latest version of HTC Sense, and it will later receive the Honeycomb update when Google makes the OS available to HTC.
The 7-inch tablet features HTC’s new Scribe technology, which allows the tablet to be used as a stylus as well. This comes in handy for note taking and is a completely optional feature.
The tablet is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm single core processor and has 16GB internal storage that can be expanded by microSD cards.
