Verizon Droid Bionic disappears from Motorola’s website

Motorola recently said that Verizon’s Droid Bionic hasn’t been cancelled, but delayed in order to receive some enhancements. It looks like the work on those enhancements have already begun, as the Droid Bionic is no longer featured at Motorola’s US officially website.

Well, in fact there is still an image of it on the homepage, but clicking on it doesn’t lead to the product page, as it happened until now.

Also, searching for the Droid Bionic within the website does return some links (like this one), but none of them lead to the smartphone’s specs and features.

This could mean Motorola and Verizon are probably also changing the design of the Bionic a bit, not just its features. We should find out more about this soon – after all, the new Droid should be released sometime during the summer.

I really hope that they give it a way slimmer form factor & “Kal El” (Nvidias quad core chipset). I guess its a possibility that they’re just going to rename the Motorola Targa the new Droid Bionic. Can’t wait to hear more on this. I know this is all in competition with the upcoming IPhone 5 release. I’m ready to be amazed Motorola….don’t disappoint me man.

Hey, look at you. You’re all “in the know” about the “kal el” chip. Aren’t you so smart. So smart that you think they’ll skip right to the quad core chip when they haven’t even come close to perfecting a phone with dual core. Yep. Some genius you are.

I think there gonna make a redesigned bionic to whoop the iphone 5. Like maybe shatter proof glass bigger battery hopefully 7-800mb of ram

the only thing i’m hoping for is that the Bionic comes out before verizon decides to charge more for the data plan.

Actually Einstein…..if you’ll read my post again it says “I really hope” not “Think” & yes I hope they skip over the Tegra 2. After testing they’re actually saying that the quad core chip maybe more battery friendly (believe it or not). Whether or not you agree or disagree with what I posted doesn’t concern me at all. If you want to act like an idiot in front of everybody you are more than welcome to do so. Oh yea…I am SonnyRock76…I just decided to login using my Facebook account this time.

Don’t sweat the a-holes, Sonny. I agree with you wholeheartedly. It may be a pipe dream to hope Motorola put’s the Kal-El in the Bionic, but that would be amazing. They probably wouldn’t call it the Bionic though. Maybe the Droid Krypton. Mainly, I just hope they give the Bionic a full GB of RAM like the Atrix, a better front facing cam (at least 1.2 MP), and Gingerbread sans Motoblur. Here’s to keeping hope alive!

Point is, I want this phone to come out already. I have been patiently waiting for it to come out so I can apply my upgrade to its cost. Hehehehe. To have to wait longer is annoying, yet if the phone will only be improved by its delay, then so be it.
