LG Optimus Black now available at T-Mobile UK, free on contract
The LG Optimus Black is now available at T-Mobile UK. We’ve known that this was bound to happen ever since March. At one point we heard that the launch on T-Mobile was delayed until May – which turned out to be true. And, also back in March, we even found out how much the device will cost – and amazingly, that info (though leaked very early after the phone’s unveiling and months from its actual availability) was accurate.
So let’s see. T-Mobile will give you an LG Optimus Black for free if you agree to sign a new two-year contract that will require you to shell out at least £25.54 each month. For that amount of cash, you’ll get 300 minutes, 300 texts, and Internet access (a fair usage policy applies). There are many other plans to choose from, of course, so if this isn’t your cup of tea, you can surely find one that will suit your needs – though note that the device will not be free if you choose a cheaper plan.
The LG Optimus Black has a 1 GHz TI processor, a 4-inch 800×480 IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, and 720p HD video recording, a 2 MP front-facing camera, GPS, Bluetooth, HSPA, Wi-Fi, and a 1500 mAh battery. The LG Optimus Black runs Android 2.2 Froyo and will be updated to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
