Verizon HTC Trophy WP7 device now only $99.99 at Newegg
After many months of ignoring Microsoft’s newest mobile operating system, Verizon has finally gotten on the Windows Phone 7 bandwagon. The first WP7 device to be available on Big Red is the HTC Trophy, which is also a ‘global roaming’ device or ‘world phone’ – basically it has a GSM radio alongside that CDMA radio, and that allows you to take it with you (and properly use it) pretty much anywhere in the world.
Verizon has launched this smartphone yesterday, for a price of $149.99 with a new two-year contract. If you want to get one, but would rather save a cool $50, perhaps you should turn to Newegg. The well known online retailer has the Trophy available for just $99.99. Of course, the same new two-year contract needs to be signed.
Still, if you are a Verizon customer and want to check out what all the WP7-related hype is about, this is your only choice right now. Not that it isn’t a capable device, of course. The Trophy has a 3.8-inch WVGA (800×480) capacitive touchscreen, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 5 MP camera with 720p HD video recording, 1GHz processor, and 16GB of internal storage space.
Interested? If so, head on straight over to Newegg and order yours.
