Bell HTC Desire Z now free with one-year contract
Here’s a little something that is sure to be interesting to you if you’re in Canada and crave an Android smartphone, love physical QWERTY keyboards, and don’t mind if you’re not using the absolute latest and greatest hardware.
Bell has just made the HTC Desire Z free with all contract terms. That means that you can now get the Desire Z for free with a new 3-year contract, 2-year contract, or, yes, even with a one-year agreement. That isn’t something that happens often in Canada. Keep in mind that this device was going for $129.95 with a three-year contract back when it launched in November.
Speaking of which, that there is your hint as to why this has happened. The Desire Z, while only being available for a few months, is getting a bit old in the Android space. That doesn’t mean it isn’t a capable device, or even that it’s old by any other metric other than Android hardware launches. So if you aren’t an ‘early adopter’, this is a neat smartphone that you can get for free with a decent contract term.
If you’re interested, hop on over to Bell and order yours.
