GSM HTC Evo 3D officially arriving in Europe next month
HTC has officially confirmed that its Evo 3D Android smartphone would be released in Europe.
According to HTC UK’s Facebook page, the Evo 3D will be available in the UK starting next month (July). Most likely, other European countries will get the handset at about the same time.
Currently available only in the US and only via Sprint, the HTC Evo 3D is one of the world’s first Android smartphones to feature a glasses-free 3D screen. Unlike LG’s Optimus 3D, which is being launched with Android 2.2 Froyo, the Evo 3D comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It also features a 4.3 inch display with a higher resolution (960 x 540 pixels), dual-core 1.2GHz processor, dual-cameras for 3D photo shooting and video recording, and the usual GPS, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity.
For the moment, there’s no word on the price of the Evo 3D for the European market. However, it will probably be higher than the price of the handset in the US ($549.99 off-contract).
