White LG Optimus Black available for pre-order in the UK

Back in May, when LG informed us that the Optimus Black would be launched in North America sometime later this year, the company also announced two new color versions for the handset: white and pink.

The white edition of the Optimus Black can be now pre-ordered in the UK, where customers can get it for free on plans starting at £20 per month. Retailer Phones4U lets you choose contracts from Vodafone, Orange, or O2, promising to ship the smartphone on July 15.

You can go here to pre-order the white LG Optimus Black (which runs Android 2.2 Froyo and features a 4 inch WVGA Nova display, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 5MP rear camera, 720p video recording, 2MP front-facing camera, and 1GHz single-core processor).

Yes, it’s ironic that a phone called “Black” has a white edition, but it’s nice that LG provides different color versions for it, right?

In case you’re interested in the pink Optimus Black, we don’t know (yet) when or where it will be released.
