HTC Salsa now available at O2 UK, free from £27 per month, £299.99 on PAYG
The HTC Salsa has become available from O2 in the UK, just as we heard it would. The Salsa, if you remember, is one of two HTC phones unveiled this February during MWC to have a dedicated Facebook button as well as social networking integration throughout the UI.
Furthermore, both the Salsa and the ChaCha are also quite capable Android smartphones as well. A great combination, for many – at least that’s what HTC seems to think since it’s launched these devices.
We’ve talked a lot more about the ChaCha in recent weeks, but now that the Salsa is slowly becoming available, it’s back in the spotlight as well.
O2 UK will give you a Salsa for free if you agree to a 24-month contract that will cost you £27 each month. That particular plan gets you 300 minutes and unlimited texts. Alternatively, you can get the Salsa for as much as £104.99 on Pay Monthly, in that case with a £16.50 per month plan which gives you 50 minutes and 250 texts. In between these extremes there are many other plans to choose from, so make sure you go through them all by visiting this page at O2.
If you want to get the HTC Salsa on Pay as you go, it will cost you £299.99.
The HTC Salsa has a 3.4-inch 320×480 capacitive touchscreen with Gorilla Glass, an 800 MHz processor, a 5 MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and video recording, a secondary front-facing VGA camera, 512 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM, a microSD card slot, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, a 1520 mAh battery, and that all-important Facebook touch.
