T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide pre-orders begin on July 19 for $199.99, in stores on July 27
After many leaks over the past few months, T-Mobile finally decided to announce the myTouch 4G Slide toward the end of last month. Back then the carrier did detail the new superphone’s pricing, but left out any clue of a release date. Today things have become clear.
The myTouch 4G Slide will cost $199.99 with a new two-year contract, and T-Mobile will start taking pre-orders on July 19. The phone will become available in T-Mobile stores and at select dealers on July 27 – just as we previously heard. This information now comes via Phone Scoop.
T-Mobile has put up a page for the myTouch 4G Slide, as you can see above, and it clearly looks like it’s getting ready to take pre-orders soon. It’s also pretty clear that no one at T-Mobile or HTC has ever tried taking a photo with the Nokia N8. But hey, bold (and usually unsubstantiated) claims are what marketing is made of, no?
Anyway, if you love the myTouch 4G but can’t live without a full physical QWERTY keyboard, this device will be for you and you only have a couple of weeks of waiting to do from this point on. And I’m sure it has a pretty decent camera on it as well. It may even be the best camera of any smartphone that’s ever been offered subsidized by an American carrier.
