Verizon intros the new LG Cosmos 2 QWERTY phone
If you’re not interested in Verizon’s smartphone line-up, maybe the new LG Cosmos 2 will pique your interest.
Coming to replace the original LG Cosmos (introduced in March 2010), the Cosmos 2 keeps the predecessor’s form factor, thus it’s a QWERTY slider that also has an alphanumeric keypad. The phone features access to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headset jack, document viewer, MicroSD card support, and a 1.3MP camera.
LG Cosmos 2 owners will be able to try Verizon’s new Mobile Email app for 10 uses at no extra cost. After the tenth use, an option to subscribe to Mobile Email for $5 per month will be provided.
Verizon will sell the LG Cosmos 2 starting July 14 (this Thursday) for $29.99 on contract, after a $50 rebate.
