If you want to get a new smartphone but aren’t necessarily into the latest and greatest (and don’t mind signing a two-year contract with a carrier), you should always check out third-party retailers before going directly to said carrier for your fix.
One of those retailers is Wirefly, and over the past few months it has consistently had great deals and interesting offers all while keeping prices well below those asked by the carriers. For example, the HTC Evo 4G for Sprint has been free at Wirefly for almost a month now (provided you sign a new two-year contract).
Joining the Evo 4G in Wirefly’s constantly growing free Android smartphone list today are the Motorola Droid X and the Droid 2 Global. As you probably know already, these aren’t the highest-end devices around or anything like that. And while they may be a bit ‘old’ in the Android world where every other day another superphone gets unveiled, they’re not underpowered or anything and will surely serve you well if your needs aren’t bleeding edge.
The Motorola Droid X used to be almost free at Amazon but the retailer no longer sells this smartphone. Not to worry though, for it’s now free at Wirefly. Yes, with a two-year agreement.
And also free is the Droid 2 Global. It has been selling for one mere penny at Amazon since February, but if for some reason you’d rather not buy from over there, Wirefly now offers it $0.01 cheaper.
If you’re interested in either device, go to Wirefly now and place your order.
