Motorola Droid Bionic to have Netflix support at launch
About a week ago, Verizon Wireless put up a Droid Bionic page on its website, hinting at an imminent release of the uber-delayed new Moto smartphone. While we still cannot say when exactly the Bionic will hit the shelves (it should happen sometime in August), we have a piece of info that may please some potential customers: the new Droid will have Netflix support at launch – just like the LG Revolution, launched back in May.
Droid-life has an image suggesting that Netflix support has been added to another two 4G Android smartphones from VZW, namely the Samsung Droid Charge, and the HTC Thunderbolt.
Netflix aside, the Droid Bionic should feature a 4.3 inch qHD display, dual-core processor, 8MP camera, and, hopefully, Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
August is also the month when the Galaxy S II will arrive in the US (and likely in Verizon’s inventory). So unless you really really want the Moto Droid Bionic, it would be a good idea to check out Sammy’s dual-core offer, too, before buying yourself a new smartphone.
