Samsung Conquer 4G launch date unveiled by Sprint: August 21

Sprint has officially announced the launch date of Samsung Conquer 4G. The new smartphone will be available starting August 21 for $99.99 (after a $50 mail-in rebate), becoming the carrier’s first 4G handset to be offered for under $100.

The Conquer features Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 3.5 inch HVGA (480 x 320) touchscreen display, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, stereo Bluetooth, 3.2MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1GH processor, a 2GB memory card pre-installed, and a 1500 mAh battery. It doesn’t seem to have a sliding QWERTY keyboard, although initially everyone thought it had one.

The Conquer 4G will be Sprint’s seventh 4G-capable Android device, after the HTC EVO 4G, HTC Evo Shift 4G, HTC Evo Flyer 4G, HTC Evo 3D, Samsung Epic 4G, and Google Nexus One 4G.
