4G LTE Samsung Celox smiles for the camera, has physical button removed
A few days ago, the LTE-capable Samsung Celox got leaked for the first time. The phone was reportedly headed to a Korean carrier, and not, unfortunately, to Verizon or AT&T in the States. Furthermore, it used different LTE bands, so the handset simply can’t work on US LTE networks. Of course, Samsung could rework the innards by swapping that radio with one that has the adequate bands for operation in the US. That’s what we’re hoping will happen, anyway.
With the first leak came a couple of renders of the Celox, but today we have something a lot better. The first live images of the 4G LTE smartphone have been leaked courtesy of Ameblo and Kevin’s Click-Mobile. Here they are:
The device clearly looks exactly like the renders from last week, save for one detail. The physical Home button (a la the Samsung Galaxy S II) seen in the renders is gone, and now the usual four Android touch keys are to be seen. We haven’t heard anything new about the specs, which probably means they’ve stayed the same as in the first leak. Just to refresh your memory, the Celox should come with a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED screen, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1 GB of RAM, two cameras, a 1750 mAh battery, and that sweet 4G LTE connectivity.
If it’s not this exact device, then something similar will probably hit the streets in the US before the end of this year, so stay tuned.
