HTC Flyer now available in Canada for $499.99, stylus sold separately for $79.99

The HTC Flyer, the Taiwanese company’s first foray into the Android tablet space, is now finally available to buy in Canada. It’s not being sold by Telus as we heard it may be. It is, however, in stock at The Source, which is Bell’s retail outlet.

The price being asked for the 7-inch tablet is in line with what we’ve seen so far in the US: $499.99. And also like in the US, it looks like the HTC Scribe stylus isn’t included. To get it too, you’ll have to shell out an additional $79.99.

If you’re wondering whether this is the Wi-Fi-only version of the tablet or if it’s the 3G-enabled one, well, you’ll have to call The Source and ask. Although judging from the price it’s likely we’re dealing with the Wi-Fi-only device here, the online store strangely lists something under ‘3G Modes/Bands supported’. Even stranger is the fact that the listed bands are actually the well-known 2G bands. So what gives? A typo, perhaps. Still, be sure to check with The Source if you actually want to buy a Flyer. Speaking of which, in order to do that, just hop on over to The Source and press the magic button.

The HTC Flyer has a 7-inch 1024×600 touchscreen, a 1.5 GHz single-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage space, a 5 MP autofocus rear camera with 720p HD video recording, a 1.3 MP secondary front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 4000 mAh battery.
