Symbian Anna for Nokia N8, E7, C7 and C6-01 available starting now
If you’re a proud (?) owner of a Nokia N8, C7, E7, or C6-01, you should be happy to find out that Nokia has started rolling-out a Symbian Anna update for your smartphone.
The updated should be available this week in lots of countries around the world, including: Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Germany, India, Indonesia, Kuwait, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Thailand, the UAE, and the UK.
First seen on the Nokia X7 and Nokia E6, Symbian Anna brings lots of improvements over Symbian^3. Among them, we must mention: fresh user interface, enhanced Nokia Maps, faster browser, virtual portrait QWERTY keyboard, split-screen view, email enhancements, and NFC support (only on the Nokia C7).
Since this is a large update, Nokia recommends that you download it via Ovi Suite.
A new Symbian Anna handset – the Nokia 500 – should be released later this quarter. After that, we’ll probably see only Symbian Belle smartphones.
