The HTC Kingdom has been talked about a couple of times before, but now, thanks to a leaked original ROM image, we have some confirmed specs. The device from which the leak originated was the HTC Acquire headed to Alltel, but this should be just that particular carrier’s branding of the HTC Kingdom.
So, the Evo Design 4G/Acquire will, as we have heard before, have a 4-inch qHD (960×540) non-3D touchscreen, a 1.2 GHz single-core processor, a 5 MP rear camera, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera, 768 MB of RAM, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, and support for 4G. It will run Android Gingerbread.
In Sprint’s portfolio, the Evo Design 4G will sit in between the Evo 3D and the Evo Shift 4G. The Evo Design 4G will also be faster, with its 1.2 GHz processor and 768 MB of RAM, than the Evo 4G, so it may be a good device to upgrade to for Evo 4G owners (although the camera is inferior). Given its specs, it should also be more affordable than what the Evo 4G was back when it launched. However, we have no details about pricing (or availability, for that matter), so stay tuned for more.
