Rogers now gives you $100 back if you buy a BlackBerry Torch 9810, Bold 9900, or PlayBook
If you’re a BlackBerry fan (nay, addict) and live in RIM’s native Canada, Rogers has a treat waiting for you. The carrier is offering a rather interesting deal on a couple of very new BlackBerry smartphones as well as the PlayBook, which is RIM’s first foray into the tablet world.
If you get a BlackBerry Torch 9810, Bold 9900, or PlayBook with a Rogers contract before the end of September, Rogers will give you back $100. This isn’t a price cut per se, but if you’re patient you do get $100 off the prices of the aforementioned devices.
Here’s how it works. You go and get one of the phones or the tablet with a new Rogers three-year contract, and pay the ‘usual’ price for them, which right now is $199.99 for either smartphone, and $499.99 for the PlayBook. Then you just wait. Your second wireless bill from Rogers will be credited $100. Easy. Do keep in mind though that the offer is only valid for new activations.
So there you go. Another incentive to get one of RIM’s newest devices, which, to be honest, weren’t especially affordable before this special offer came along.
