Telus BlackBerry Curve 9360 may be out tomorrow, Torch 9860 on August 30
The newly-announced BlackBerry Curve 9360 and Torch 9860 are going to be sold by Telus in Canada, that much we already know. In fact, we found out that the Torch 9860 was headed to Telus even before it was officially unveiled by RIM.
What was missing so far was any mention of specific release dates. Now a leak of a Telus internal document fills that gap. The BlackBerry Curve 9360 will apparently become available tomorrow, on August 26. The BlackBerry Torch 9860 will be out at Telus on August 30, so only five days from now.
Hence, it looks like those of you who are in Canada and are lusting after some new RIM-made gadgets will have the opportunity to get some pretty soon. If only all smartphone launches would go like this.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any pricing information for either device yet. But with the Curve 9360 possibly launching tomorrow, that’s clearly not far out. As for the Torch 9860, perhaps another leak will surface before it becomes available and clear everything up. We’ll see.
