HTC Omega (with Windows Phone Mango) shows up in hands-on photos
Expected to be announced on September 1 (this Thursday), the HTC Omega will be one of the world’s first Windows Phone Mango devices. We’ve seen the smartphone in a press shot last week, and now it’s time to take a look at it in some hands-on photos.
These new photos have appeared on an Algerian website, where someone is actually selling an Omega for 42,000 Algerian dinars (about €400). We’re not sure if the unit that’s being sold is a prototype or not, but we can see that it’s working on Orange (so this is one of the carriers that will probably launch the smartphone in Europe).
Feature-wise, the HTC Omega should bring a 3.8 inch WVGA display, 1.5 Ghz processor, 8MP rear camera, and front-facing camera.
The HTC Omega will be announced alongside the HTC Eternity, another Mango handset that may come with a bigger (4.5 inch) display.
