Back in February during MWC, Motorola unveiled the Pro, which was basically a Droid Pro set for international release. However, many months have passed without the phone becoming available anywhere, so we were wondering what happened to it when, a couple of days ago, Motorola decided to clear the air. And it did so by announcing the Motorola Pro+, an upgraded version of the Pro.
So now it’s back to the waiting game. In the UK, you can already pre-order the Pro+ if you so wish. Well-known online mobile retailer Clove has put the smartphone up for grabs for a price of £420. Obviously that will net you a SIM-free and unlocked handset.
The first shipments are expected to go out in late October or early November, so it’s pretty clear that you will be able to get this as a holiday gift if you want to.
Just keep in mind that for now both the pricing and the shipping info isn’t officially confirmed by Motorola, so things may change a bit here or there. Of course, if you simply don’t mind that and need to be among the first individuals in the UK to get your mitts on the Pro+, Clove is waiting for your pre-order. Do what you gotta do.
The Motorola Pro+ has a 3.1-inch 640×480 touchscreen, a full physical QWERTY keyboard underneath that screen, a 1 GHz processor, a 5 MP autofocus camera with dual-LED flash, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of built-in storage, microSD card support, 14.4 Mbps HSDPA, 2 Mbps HSUPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 1600 mAh battery. It will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
