Verizon’s Samsung Stratosphere SCH-I405 pictured
Although it’s not quite a Galaxy S II, as believed back in August, the Samsung Stratosphere SCH-I405 will most probably be seen as a great smartphone by lots of Verizon customers.
The Stratosphere has just appeared in officially-looking images, allowing us to check it out both closed, and with its (nice?) QWERTY keyboard out.
Feature-wise, the new handset will reportedly bring Android Gingerbread, a WVGA display (possibly Super AMOLED Plus), 5MP rear camera, and a 1.3MP front-facing camera.
The Samsung Stratosphere should be Verizon’s first 4G LTE slider. There’s no word on when it will be launched, but it’s likely going to happen pretty soon.
