Acer Iconia Smart finally available in the UK for £389.99
Remember the Acer Iconia Smart? This oddity was first semi-announced during MWC in February, when Acer claimed it’s both 100% smartphone and 100% tablet. Logic-defying arguments aside, the Iconia Smart is certainly no ordinary smartphone with its 4.8-inch 1024×480 touchscreen.
However, many months have passed since February and the rest of this device’s specs don’t look as high-end now as they did back then. Still, if you’d like to carry something sporting a rather unique form factor, this is one of only a few options.
The Iconia Smart has finally gone on sale in the UK, being in stock now at well-known online retailer Expansys. It will sell you an Iconia Smart if you agree to shell out £389.99. For that price you get a SIM-free, unlocked device as well as free shipping. If you’re interested in picking one up, this is the link to go to.
The Acer Iconia Smart has a single-core 1 GHz processor, an 8 MP autofocus camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording, a secondary front-facing 2 MP camera, 8 GB of built-in storage, 512 MB of ROM, 512 MB of RAM, microSD card support, 14.4 Mbps HSDPA, 5.76 Mbps HSUPA, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 1500 mAh battery.
