Canada: Wind Mobile launches the affordable, Android-powered Alcatel One Touch 908s
If you’re in Canada and Wind Mobile is your carrier of choice, listen up. If you’d like to get an affordable Android-powered smartphone, even better – Wind Mobile now has something for you.
The carrier has made the Alcatel One Touch 908s available today. This is an Android smartphone, but not in any way a high-end offering or anything like that. It’s a decently-specced handset for those who’d like a smartphone but either can’t afford the more expensive options or simply don’t need a huge screen.
The Alcatel One Touch 908s has a 2.8-inch 240×320 touchscreen, a 2 MP camera, 150 MB of built-in storage, microSD card support, 3G, and a 1300 mAh battery. It runs Android 2.2 Froyo, which is quite a letdown but unfortunately seems to be more or less the norm for cheap devices nowdays.
Wind Mobile offers the Alcatel One Touch 908s for $0 on the WindTab, and for $120 off contract. That’s affordable indeed. So if you’d like to pick up a One Touch 908s from Wind Mobile, just go here and do your thing.
