The HTC Vigor is an oft-leaked Android superphone that’s supposedly headed to Verizon. According to previous rumors, it should have a 4.3-inch 1280×720 HD display, a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, and an 8-megapixel camera. It’s also said to come with Beats audio, just like the recently announced Sensation XE.
After a MAP listing leak here and a presence on a Dutch site there, the Vigor looks closer to an official announcement than ever. Especially now that we have what is the first official press shot of the Vigor, shown in all its splendor courtesy of PocketNow.
From the point where the press shots get leaked it’s usually only a matter of days before a phone gets officially unveiled by its manufacturer, so here’s hoping HTC doesn’t buck the trend.
As for naming, apparently Vigor may be the name under which this device will be sold, although at some point rumor had it that it would be called ThunderBolt 2. Only time will tell. And we’ll let you know as soon as we know more, of course.
