BlackBerry Torch 9860 will be available in the UK on October 3
The BlackBerry Torch 9860, codenamed Monza, was officially unveiled last month. This is RIM’s successor to the failed Storm series, meaning it’s a full touch device – no physical QWERTY in sight.
In the UK, pre-orders for this model in its SIM-free and unlocked form have started about three weeks ago. Back then we had pricing info but only a rough idea about the release, namely that it would happen in October.
Now we know more thanks to Clove, the online retailer that has been taking those pre-orders for all this time. It now expects the Torch 9860 to be in stock on October 3, which is also when the company will start shipping the device out to those who’ve pre-ordered it so far or plan to do so from now on. So on October 4 you may be one of the lucky ones to get your hands on the Torch 9860. And you’ll probably be among the first people in the UK to do that.
If you haven’t pre-ordered one yet, head over to Clove now. If you have already gone through that, the only thing you can do is wait. Fortunately there’s not much more of that to do from this point on.
