A couple of weeks ago, Sprint officially announced its very own version of LG’s Optimus Black smartphone. This device’s main selling points are its sleek looks, its thinness, and its bright display. Unlike the internationally-selling Optimus Black, Sprint’s LG Marquee will launch running Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Speaking of that, the Marquee is going to become available this coming Sunday, on October 2. And it looks like Sprint is quite anxious for that day to come and for the Marquee to get into its customers’ hands. So the carrier has decided to post a promo video for the LG Marquee on its YouTube channel, even if the smartphone isn’t out yet.
The video is probably an attempt by Sprint to create some buzz and whet your appetite in case you were going to buy the Marquee anyway. If you weren’t considering it, perhaps now you’ll give it a thought. Either way, here’s the video in question:
Not many features demoed there, but the essentials were covered pretty neatly. The LG Marquee will be quite affordable at $99.99 with a new two-year contract, so perhaps this is a great option for you if you don’t necessarily need the highest-end specs. Or as a second smartphone if you do. Your call.
