Samsung Omnia W, Galaxy Y and Wave 3 announced in India
Samsung has announced that it’s launching three new smartphones in India, each with a different OS. The handsets are: Samsung Omnia W, Samsung Wave 3, and Samsung Galaxy Y.
Running Windows Phone Mango, the Samsung Omnia W should be available to Indian customers starting next month for 19,900 INR ($404). The new Omnia features a 3.7 inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 1.4GHz single-core processor, 5MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, and 8GB of on-board memory.
The Wave 3 comes as Samsung’s new Bada flagship, and should also be released in India next month (for 19,600 INR). The phone features a 4 inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, TouchWiz UI, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, 5MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 1.4GHz processor, and 3GB of internal memory.
Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Y is an affordable smartphone that runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and will cost only 7,800 INR ($159).
The Galaxy Y comes with a 3 inch QVGA display, TouchWiz UI, HSPDA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 2MP camera, and an 823MHz processor.
