Samsung Galaxy S II and HTC Amaze 4G now available at T-Mobile
Just as expected, the Samsung Galaxy S II and the HTC Amaze 4G are now available to purchase from T-Moible. This follows a short pre-order period, and the carrier’s official announcement regarding the two devices, which came last month.
Both the Galaxy S II and the Amaze 4G can use T-Mobile’s 42 Mbps HSPA network, which makes them the fastest (in terms of mobile data download speeds) smartphones that the magenta carrier has ever offered. We’re venturing a guess that they’re also the fastest in terms of performance, as they both come with dual-core 1.5 GHz processors.
If you’re interested in the Galaxy S II, it can be yours for $229.99 (after a $50 mail-in rebate) with a new two-year contract. Head over here to order one now.
The HTC Amaze 4G is a bit more expensive at $259.99 (after a $50 mail-in rebate), and it comes in two color versions: black and white. The Amaze 4G apparently comes with a pretty high-end camera (although “most advanced camera of any smartphone” sounds like something you’d say if you never tried a Nokia N8 or iPhone 4S), and (interestingly) zero shutter lag. The Amaze 4G has a 4.3-inch 960×540 touchscreen, whereas the Galaxy S II comes with a 4.52-inch 800×480 screen.
Together, these phones constitute the best of what T-Mobile has to offer right now, so if their price points aren’t an issue for you, they both obviously come highly recommended.
