T-Mobile myTouch and myTouch Q will be available on November 2 for $79.99
By Vlad Bobleanta on 31 Oct 11T-Mobile’s new myTouch devices have finally gotten an official release date and pricing. Announced earlier this month, both the myTouch and the myTouch Q are made by LG and come to add to TMo’s existing myTouch line of Android-powered smartphones.
The two handsets share the same 1 GHz processor, HSPA+ connectivity, and the 5 MP camera with 720p HD video recording. The myTouch Q comes with a full physical side-sliding QWERTY keyboard and a 3.5-inch 320×480 touchscreen, while the myTouch is keyboardless but has a bigger 3.8-inch touchscreen with a better resolution too at 480×800. They both run Android 2.3 Gingerbread and come with the usual options for a smartphone nowdays: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microSD card support, and so on.
The LG myTouch and myTouch Q will be available online on November 2 (that’s in just a couple of days by the way) for $79.99 (after a $50 mail-in rebate) with a new two-year contract. One week later, starting on November 9, you’ll be able to pick up one of these phones from T-Mobile’s stores too.
The myTouch and myTouch Q are clearly aimed at first-time smartphone buyers, and they’re very decent devices for the price, especially if you’re into T-Mobile’s specific flavor of 4G.
