Samsung Galaxy Note launched in the UK
The Galaxy Note – Samsung’s huge smartphone, or small tablet (it goes either way) – is now available in the UK.
The Carphone House is holding a launch event right now in Oxford Street, London – however, the device can’t be found online at the retailer’s website yet. You can find it at Clove, though, which asks £594 (about €690) for an unlocked Galaxy Note.
Phones4U is also selling the Note, but only on Orange contracts – see the available deals here.
The Galaxy Note – which features a 5.3 inch Super AMOLED HD display, and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor – is currently running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but Samsung says an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be available next year.
