ViewSonic ViewPad 10e now available in the UK for £199.99, has 9.7″ screen and runs Android 2.3
At this point, ViewSonic certainly isn’t a household name when it comes to tablets or smartphones. However, the company seems intent on flooding the market with a number of different devices (mainly tablets) and seeing what sticks, so to speak. We’ve heard tidbits here and there about its ViewPad 7x and ViewPad 7e tablets before, and now a new ViewSonic product has become available in the UK.
Retailer Argos has the ViewSonic ViewPad 10e in stock at the moment, ready to be picked up in-store or dispatched to your address of choice. The price being asked is a very decent £199.99, but then this isn’t a high performance tablet by any stretch of the imagination.
The ViewPad 10e runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and comes with a 9.7-inch 1024×768 IPS touchscreen, a 1 GHz single-core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of built-in storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microSD card support, mini HDMI, a 3.5 mm headset jack, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera, and a 5,400 mAh battery.
If you don’t mind the midrange specs or the fact that it runs an operating system version designed for phones, this may turn out to be pretty good value for the money. If you’re interested, head over to Argos now to pick one up.
