Samsung Galaxy S Glide launched by Rogers
Today, Rogers has finally launched the rumored Samsung Galaxy S Glide in Canada – a bit later than initially expected.
The Galaxy S Glide is available online for as low as $149.99 (new 3-yr contract agreement required). Customers can also buy the new handset on 2-yr and 1-yr deals, or free of contract, for $549.99.
The new Samsung smartphone features a 4 inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, sliding QWERTY keyboard, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording, 1.3MP front-facing camera, and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor.
The Samsung Galaxy S Glide is currently running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and I’d say there are good chances it will be upgraded to Android 4.0 ICS at some point. And speaking of Android ICS, Rogers will launch the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, too, but only next year, in January.
