BlackBerry Bold 9790 headed to Vodafone, O2 UK
Expected to be launched in Canada soon, the new BlackBerry Bold 9790 is (unsurprisingly) coming to Europe, too. In the UK, both O2 and Vodafone will sell the Bold 9790, but it looks like this is not going to happen before the end of the year.
O2’s official website currently states that the 9790 will be released in January.
As for Vodafone, Recombu is reporting that the network will sell the Bold 9790 only to its enterprise customers, and it doesn’t “plan to offer it as part of their broader consumer smartphone line-up.”
Announced by RIM at the same time with the BlackBerry Curve 9380 (which is also headed to O2), the Bold 9790 runs BlackBerry 7 OS, and features a 2.44 inch touchscreen display with 480 x 360 pixels, full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, NFC, HSDPA, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, 5MP rear camera, 720p video recording, 1GHz single-core processor, and 8GB of internal memory.
