Sony’s Tablet P brings its two screens to the UK, yours for £499.99
Sony’s oddly-shaped Tablet P with Android 3.2 Honeycomb is now available in the UK. It was rumored for much of this year and it was back in August when we finally got more details about it. It has to be noted that Sony did mention November as the month of European availability for the Tablet P – the release is certainly on time.
So if you’re in the UK and would like a tablet that comes with two 5.5-inch 1024×480 touchscreens, you can head over to Dixons right now and order a Tablet P for yourself. The price you’ll have to pay is £499.99.
Aside from those two touchscreens, the Tablet P also comes with a 1 GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 1 GB of RAM, a 5 MP rear camera, a VGA front-facing camera, microSD card support, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. It’s 13 mm thick and weighs 372 grams.
The obvious question here is whether this tablet’s unique form factor is worth the very steep price. The answer’s up to you and your particular tastes, we’d just like to point out that it’s £100 more than the cheapest iPad 2.
