Samsung Galaxy S II LTE now available on NTT DoCoMO in Japan
Japan has just gotten its first LTE phone, and it just happens to be the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE. The Galaxy S II LTE is now available on NTT DoCoMo and will run on the carrier’s Xi network with average download speeds of 37.5Mbps.
Specs wise, the Galaxy S II LTE spots a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, a 4.5-inch screen with 480×800 resolution, Super AMOLED Plus display with Gorilla Glass, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of onboard storage, and a 8 megapixel camera in the front with 1080 HD video recording and a 2 megapixel camera on the front.
The Galaxy S II LTE will set you back $260 (¥20,000) on a new two year contract. NTT DoCoMo also mentioned that they hoped to reach 30 million customers by 2015 and that they had more 4G devices on the way. We will keep you updated on the status of Galaxy S II LTE.
