Nokia’s Asha 300 and Asha 200 S40 phones launched in India
Nokia has launched two of its four new Asha phones in India: the Asha 300 and Asha 200.
Both handsets come with Nokia’s latest S40 UI – however, only the Asha 300 has a touchscreen display (resistive, 2.4 inch QVGA).
The Nokia Asha 300 costs 7,409 INR in India ($145). It features 3G, a 1GHz processor, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, 5MP camera with VGA video recording, Nokia Browser, Angry Birds, Nokia Music Unlimited (free 3-month subscription), 140MB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support.
The second new Nokia phone introduced in India, the Asha 200, comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, dual SIM capabilities, and a 2.4 inch QVGA screen. Other features include: Nokia Browser, Nokia Music Unlimited, Bluetooth, 2MP camera, 10MB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support. There’s no 3G connectivity.
The Nokia Asha 200 will obviously be cheaper than the 300: only 4,759 INR ($94).
