Nokia’s Lumia 710 Windows Phone Mango handset available starting today
Nokia’s second Windows Phone Mango device, the Lumia 710, has started shipping today. It should be available in Taiwan as of now, with Hong Kong, Singapore, India and Russia getting the device in the next seven days. Other markets around the world should receive the 710 starting the coming weeks.
The Lumia 710 is a cheaper alternative to the Lumia 800. Priced at €270 (about $360) before taxes and subsidies, the handset features a 3.7 inch WVGA ClearBlack display, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, Nokia Drive (with free turn-by-turn navigation), Nokia Music, 5MP rear camera with 720p video recording, 1.4GHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, and 8GB of on-board memory.
The Nokia Lumia 710 should be released in the US, too, where T-Mobile may officially announce it next week, on December 14.
It will be interesting to see if the Lumia 710 sells better than the Lumia 800. But we’ll have to wait a few months before finding out anyway.
