Verizon Galaxy Nexus now rumored to arrive on December 15

The rumors were true: Verizon didn’t launch the Samsung Galaxy Nexus today (December 9). What’s more, the carrier also didn’t provide any update on when the new smartphone would be out.

But it looks like it’s going to happen on December 15 (next Thursday).

Or at least that’s what Droid-life is reporting, saying Verizon is currently announcing employees, managers and indirect retailers that this is the new launch date for the Galaxy Nexus.

There probably still is a possibility for the handset to arrive on December 13 (as we’ve heard a few days ago), but we shouldn’t put too much hope in that. Regardless of when it’s going to finally hit the shelves, Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus should cost $299 on contract.

Yesterday, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus – the first in the world to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – was officially released in Canada by Bell and Virgin Mobile. The smartphone is also available in the UK for a few weeks now.

It shouldn’t take two months to release a phone, Verizon. You suck balls.
