Google updates Search for Android Gingerbread, Honeycomb and Froyo

The Google Search application for Android (versions 2.2 Froyo, 2.3 Gingerbread and 3.x Honeycomb) has been updated yesterday.

The update makes the app faster, and obviously allows users to find what they need quicker.

Here’s what’s new: refreshed user interface; search suggestions are grouped by type (and you’ll notice that web suggestions are on top); all countries with Google domains get locally-relevant suggestions; you can now long press to remove history items.

You can download the latest version of Google Search app to your Android device either via Android Market, or by scanning the QR code found in this post over at the Google mobile blog.
