Motorola i940 iDEN Android phone announced. Available now in Brazil
Motorola has introduced a new iDEN / Push-to-Talk Android smartphone – the Motorola i940. The new handset is available as of today in Brazil (on Nextel), and can be bought in Casas Bahia and Ponto Frio stores for 1,199 reais (about $670).
The i940 runs an unspecified version of Android, and features a 3.5 inch display (unknown resolution – it’s probably HVGA), Wi-Fi, GPS, stereo Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, noise cancellation technology, Nextel Email, 5MP rear camera, and MicroSD card support.
Since Sprint plans to phase out its iDEN network starting next year, I don’t know if the Motorola i940 will have the time (or any strong reason) to make it to the US market.
