UK: T-Mobile Vivacity with Android 2.3, 3.5-inch screen, and 5 MP camera, now just £89.99 on PAYG

Back in November 2011, T-Mobile UK launched an affordable Android smartphone on Pay as you go – the Vivacity. This device is made by ZTE, and has an excellent price to features ratio. It’s been sold by T-Mobile for £99.99 on PAYG ever since its release.

Up until today. The operator decided that even that price was too much to ask for this handset, so it kindly lowered that by a cool £10. Which makes this absolutely not the world’s most extraordinary price cut, for sure, but do consider the base price here. This is in effect around 10% less, and for a phone that’s only been selling for two months. That in itself is a feat.

Now think about how much bang you’re getting for that buck (um, okay, pound) – Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 3.5-inch 800×480 touchscreen, 5 MP camera with LED flash, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm headset jack, and microSD card support (with a 2 GB card in the box).

If you’re interested, T-Mobile is the place to go to now. Keep in mind though that as always with PAYG offers, you’ll need to also purchase a mandatory £10 top-up when buying the phone.
