ZTE Optik (V55) Android tablet to be launched by Sprint on February 5
Remember that Sprint-bound ZTE V55 Android tablet that was seen back in November? It looks like it’s going to be released on February 5 online, under the name of ZTE Optik, for just $100 on contract.
The Optik will come with a 7 inch display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 3G with mobile hotspot capability (up to 5 devices), Bluetooth, stereo speakers, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a 4,000 mAh battery.
Starting March 11, the ZTE Optik should also be available in Sprint stores, not just online. It will be launched with Android 3.2 Honeycomb on board, and for now there’s no word on an eventual update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
