AT&T’s Galaxy Note will be featured in Samsung’s first Super Bowl commercial
Samsung has announced that its Galaxy Note Android handset (which should be launched by AT&T on February 19) will be the star in the company’s first-ever Super Bowl ad.
Directed by Bobby Farrelly, who is known for comedy films like “Dumb and Dumber” and “There’s something about Mary”, the ad that promotes the Galaxy Note “will air during the 4th quarter of Super Bowl XLVI on February 5th.” The commercial will use footage shot with the Note’s HD (1080p) rear camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Note features a 5.3 inch Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 800 pixels, LTE connectivity, S Pen technology, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 2MP front-facing camera, and a 2,500mAh battery. The handset is currently running Android Gingerbread, but an update to Ice Cream Sandwich has been promised for this quarter.
AT&T will sell the Galaxy Note for $299.99 on contract, in two color versions: white and carbon blue.
