AT&T Motorola Atrix 4G (MB860) Android 2.3.6 update available now

Although it was supposed to arrive last week, the update to Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread for AT&T’s Motorola Atrix 4G (model number MB860) has only now become available.

The update (version 4.5.141) brings security and stability fixes, Bluetooth enhancements, “improvements to Wi-Fi settings to deliver better overall consumer experience as well as to make it easier to use Mobile Hotspot with your phone”, and enhanced messaging capabilities.

More details are available here at Motorola.

Introduced last year, in February, the Moto Atrix 4G is no longer available for purchase at AT&T (at least not online), but customers can buy the new Atrix 2 for $99.99 on contract.

What will I notice in everyday use that was fixed in this update…..and before I did the update yesterday it had a random shut-off on me while playing Pandora. So that shut off should be fixed????

my phone when disconected from wallcharger used to reboot if i dont touch it every 1min after stop touching it and leaving it quiet…but after the update its quite goood its only rebooted once in 4 days ive been using it i hope it keeps running that stable..also battery its damm good now…before the update even “””””without using it”””””..the phone battery used to drain to 15% before the end of the day…now i tested..and it had 52+ hours disconnected without rebooting and was just 20% i connected the 1 hour ago..and i made the update on thursday…i was barelly touching it cuz i wanted to test the reboot thing…and i have to say i love my atrix again

i recommend to update the phone by moto software for PC..i think it make a deep flashing… not like phone wasnt accepting the OTA and PC moto worked fine for me.. DONT GIVE UP IF IT DOESNT RECONIZE YOUR PHONE IN THE 1ST TRY….
