Nokia 500 gets a Belle update starting today
Nokia has announced that owners of its 500 Symbian smartphone (introduced back in August 2011 with Symbian Anna on board) should receive an update to Nokia Belle starting today, February 15.
Nokia Belle brings simplified menus, a new notification bar, enhanced browser capabilities, HD video recording at 30fps, and Nokia Maps version 3.06.
The update – done via Nokia Suite – will reach your Nokia 500 depending on your location, and your network operator, so you might not get it right away (but Nokia says it should reach “owners today in most countries”).
Last week, Nokia started to roll-out Belle updates to most of its recent Symbian handsets, including Nokia N8, Nokia C7, Nokia X7, Nokia E7, Nokia E6, Nokia C6-01, and Nokia Oro.
