New LG Optimus 3D Max / Cube gets official, Android 4.0 ICS update promised
The new Optimus 3D Max / Cube is thinner than the previous model, measuring 126.8 x 67.4 x 9.6 mm. It comes with a 4.3 inch 3D WVGA Gorilla Glass display, 1.2GHz TI OMAP dual-core processor, HSPA+ 21Mbps, Wi-Fi, DLNA, NFC, 5MP dual-lens camera, 8GB of internal memory, and a 1,520 mAh battery. Users will be able to edit 3D content, including videos and photos, on the phone.
The new Optimus 3D will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread at launch, with an update to Android 4.0 ICS being promised for sometime later.
The Optimus 3D Max / Cube will be showcased by LG at MWC 2012, alongside other new Android smartphones (Optimus Vu, Optimus L7, Optimus L5, and Optimus L3). Starting March, the handset will be available in South Korea. Shortly after that, it will debut in Europe and other markets.
