Mobiado Grand Touch Aston Martin is a luxury Samsung Nexus S you probably don’t need
Mobiado has officially unveiled its second Android touchscreen phone, which was designed together with Aston Martin (following the two companies’ collaboration announced back in March 2011).
The new handset is called Mobiado Grand Touch Aston Martin, and features the car maker’s logo on the back case. Like the previous Mobiado Grand Touch (introduced in August last year), the Grand Touch Aston Martin is just a Samsung Nexus S dressed in an expensive case. The device’s body is “precision CNC machined” from solid aircraft aluminum, or solid brass with rose / yellow gold – depending on the version. Ebony wood or mother of pearl (MOP) is inserted below the metallic surface. Other materials used include sapphire crystal and stainless steel.
All Mobiado Grand Touch Aston Martin models are sold unlocked, and come with quad-band GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) and tri-band HSDPA (900 / 1700 / 2100 MHz) connectivity. As for their other features, these are the regular Nexus S ones, including a 4 inch WVGA display, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 5MP rear camera VGA front-facing camera, 1GHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and Android Gingerbread.
Mobiado didn’t disclose the price of its Grand Touch Aston Martin, but it’s certainly not a low one. You can try to find out where to buy the new handset from here at Mobiado’s website.
